Biography
Professor Alia A. Alghwiri is a full professor in the Department of Physiotherapy, School of Rehabilitation Sciences, at the University of Jordan. She has extensive academic, research, administrative, and professional leadership experience in physiotherapy and rehabilitation sciences.
Her clinical and academic expertise focuses on neurological physiotherapy, vestibular and balance rehabilitation, physical therapy education, health outcomes measurement, rehabilitation research, and community service. She has taught undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral-level physiotherapy courses and supervised clinical training and postgraduate research.
Professor Alghwiri has held several senior leadership positions, including Vice Dean of the School of Rehabilitation Sciences at the University of Jordan, Head of the Physiotherapy Department, President of the Jordanian Physiotherapy Society, Executive Board Member at World Physiotherapy, and Chair of the Educational Committee at World Physiotherapy. She has also contributed extensively to international research, publications, scientific events, professional governance, and rehabilitation development initiatives.
